The berlin wall has to be my least favourite wall and really the wall is a infamous wall but it is none the less on my blog.
The walls has along history with Russia and had divided Germany for along time until 1989. It started at the end of world war two when Germany had fallen America, Britain, France and Russia took over parts of Germany making different sectors and then berlin even though it was in soviet territory was also divided into 4 sectors.
You see soviet berlin was under dictatorship and it was an abysmal place to live and the residents there moved to east berlin. With the population in west berlin dropping they had to build a wall to divide berlin and restrict access to and from east berlin.
It was a pretty crap time to live there with all the oppression. There were many people who tried to cross it but many died trying, 138 to be exact during the three decades it was standing. It finally came down in 1989 when an east German official prematurely announced an official border where the wall is
